Drizzle:)) Car accidents are an every-day occurrence in the city. I also went through two accidents and was injured twice in a car accident a few years ago. When the first accident happened I was aboard Ford(family car), and when the second accident happened, I was aboard Hyundai(rental car-I borrowed this car on the stipulation that I drive safely :> ). One day, there was a shower accompanied by thunder and lightning and I kept at driving my Ford. But traffic had been paralyzed. I sat in the car, silently fuming at the traffic jam. The large number of simultaneous highway construction projects has led to traffic congestion. I remember at that time, workers were using the traffic cones to hold up the hose. They were holding up the traffic in my lane. I wanted to keep to the left lane but had to pass a car ahead, because I can't take a long detour and had to hurry on to make up for lost time. So I moved into the wrong side. Just then, the oncoming car and my car collided head-on, totalling each other. The police closed down the four-lane boulevard. I was injured though luckily my car didn't go off or be capsized and a quick rescue kept death toll at zero. Meanwhile, back at the ranch the pressure of my Ford car's air bag came close to killing me, because the airbag was inflated so fast and struck me in the face. However Ford ran away from their responsibility, a few days after my accident. One of the questions they asked me was whether I was using a cell phone while driving. I almost died from embarrassment! Instead of solace, they said to me "everybody being in the same boat, I guess you shouldn't complain". I was extremely disappointed by Ford staffs who were passing the baby. Since the accident, risking embarassment, I've hung a rope of straw which stands for happiness and good luck in my car to keep out evil spirits. My wife would be the sole beneficiary of the insurance policy if I should be dead. However, a year later, similar accident occurred. My car ran head-on into a dump truck, after the light changed and I pulled away, though fortunately I was alive again and now am writing this post. But one big difference was that I was seated in Hyundai car. I was able to feel that Hyundai car was stronger than Ford. In my mind, Hyundai car handles particularly well on rough terrain. And, of course, my Hyundai car's airbag worked pretty well. They didn't be a buck-passer when problems occured and said to me "Human life is far more important". I recognized that Hyundai always does go by the book and, doesn't duck his responsibility, and doesn't go back on his word. I have no choice but to go for Hyundai and cannot but keep away from Ford, though I kept off misfortunes twice. I didn't go into details about these accidents, just gave you the gist. At any how, today's society is changing at a fast pace, and it is not easy to keep up with all the trends in this increasingly technological world. However Hyundai is bound to succeed. And I realize Hyundai is selling out not necessarily for the reason some might think. If the car making is the measure of the success of Hyundai, then his title as "Craftsmanship" is a good fit maybe. It is important for Ford to remember that his duty is to serve his customers. Ford should know it has confounded means with end. Don't evade your responsibility!! I've wanted to write it from time immemorial.
ENTREPRENEUR I'm a small business owner and have made & sold air bags. I beleive the Detroit3 crash start to have a ripple effect on the whole community. After that, the economy remains mired in a swamp of stagnation. In recent years, unemployment continues to soar, business confidence to plummet, and prices go on soaring. To add insult to injury, there was big slack in the manufacturing sector, because the backlash against subprime mortgage lenders intensified as the number of borrowers with credit trouble expanded. I'm getting off the subject here, but did you read the editorial in today's paper? Otherwise, did you heard that deficit financing causes interest rates to rise and the severity of the recession surprised even the most pessimistic economists? Anyhow, after the Detroit3 crash, things were starting to get tough, especially considering the poor shape our companies' in. I have long wanted to creat a very large, and complex and delicate air bag network to work on systems and infrastructure. However my dream turned out to be a wistful sense of what might have been. Anyway he air bags prices were fetched down because of recession. I believed a larger stock will produce more proceeds but no, not really. It has had to curtail the expenditure, cut down the cost of production, and cut back the production of some styles. In conclusion, I cannot help informing our rank and file that as of November 1, our Personnel department will be shutting down due to the downsizing of our company. Our company was planning to recruit a large number of personnel in the latter half of the year but we cannot but revoke this plan. Even the check I made out the other day bounced and not long ago, I had to pay a 50 dollar penalty. Are we able to go to hit our sales quota this quarter? The unpaid loan is now in default and I'm fluctuating between hopes and fears. However the market still fluctuates, but luckily, I'm making money until now because the board of directors decided to deduct 5% from all of the employees' salaries and my company could balance its budget by exporting our merchandise a little. Our treasurer and accountants said "we need periodic infusions of capital to help grow and survive cash-flow crunches, and to invest in new technology, staffing, and market opportunities like most businesses." But I don't know how to do it because for the time being it is patent that the company's profit will be beyond retrieve.
Virtual Reality @ENTREPRENEUR Don't be disappointed. Keep in there! I'm salary man who has become immune to my boss's endless carping. :)) It's been 2 years since I became a deputy section chief in the compensation department of a publishing company. I want to ask you about your business. What made you participate in the business world?
ENTREPRENEUR Once I was well- paid salary man in the sales department and engaged in international trade, buying wholesale from abroad and selling at domestic retail, being advised of the dispatch of the goods, checking the quantity before signing for the freight or shipment at the pier and nearly having a commission to have the commission for the sale. Sociability and powerful drive is a great asset to me. I enjoyed popularity with my fellow workers and finished the job with dispatch. I was a smart and sophisticated young man if I do say so myself. I thought every office worker's dream is to have his own business one day discovered a more lucrative market. So I've decided to quit my job, and go into business for myself. I got a loan of money from my brother who is in commission and dipped into the air bag business after learning the ropes. Of course I had some money stashed away and my wife surrendered the money she had been saving. In addition, I laid away part of my paycheck each month. So as a salaried man I overcame my poverty through industry and thrift. Maybe because as a child I were taught to be frugal and hardworking. My dad who was in the freight industry used to lower the boom on me for squandering. His each and every word was freighted with anger but love. My father said to our family "It may be a hard time. But all hands on deck!"
Really Cozy @ENTREPRENEUR Go for it!!!!! I'm assistant manager in the general affairs department of a courier company but hope to be a businessman in the future. By the way I want to ask you about your business too. If you don't mind, could you share your personal experiences about founding your own company or your managing probelm?
